Welcome to the Troop 389 Website!

Who We Are

We are the 2nd Grade Brownie Troop at our elementary school.  Our troop currently consists of 16 girls, 2 leaders and several fantastic volunteer moms.  We meet each week following school in one of the classrooms or in the courtyard, when weather permits.  Many of our girls have been together since they were Daisy Girl Scouts in Kindergarten.  Each year, we have supported school and community needs through our cookie sale profits.  We will be bridging to Juniors in May and are looking forward to the new adventures that lay ahead!

Cookie profits at Work!

Again this year, the girls chose to spend the cookie profits in some outstanding ways!  At the end of March, several of the girls delivered Angel Food to the Downtown Rescue Mission.  Over $300 worth of food was delivered and the girls were treated to seeing the kitchen and pantry.  Their favorite part was getting to help put up groceries in the huge walk in freezer.  In April, the girls donated supplies to the North Alabama Council's April Showers Project.  The troop along with member troops from our Service Unit donated over 1000 personal hygeine items to the Breaking Free Rescue Mission for Women.
