Troop 389

Upcoming Events

  • June and July Activities

    May 21,2008

Bridging went off without a hitch on Saturday!  We had great weather, the girls all seemed to have a good time and we were able to enjoy each others' company sharing a meal together.  A special thanks to the Kistemakers for providing their grill.

I know that Summer has just begun and you haven't even gotten used to not having to rush out the door to have the kids to school on time.  I am already looking for a couple of activities to give the girls a chance to get together over the next couple of months.  I am checking into a tour of the Chocolate Crocodile (a new chocolatier in Bridge Street that gives tours to show how their confections come to life).  Also, Burritt Museum, along with several other local businesses, offer Junior programs that we could take advantage of as well.

I hope to have something nailed down by the end of the first week of June.

  • Summer Day Camp

    4/24/2008 (updated 4/29/2008)

The Madison Summer Day Camp registration ends May 11th.  Forms were sent home on April 28th with all of the girls who didn't attend camp last year.  If you didn't get one (or yours didn't make it home) and you would like one, please let me know ASAP!

If transportation is an issue, please let me know. I don't want any of the girls to miss camp if they would like to go.  We can surely work out a driving schedule among the parents of the girls who will be attending this year.

The girls that went last year had a blast and got the opportunity to earn try-its that we just can't cover in a regular meeting setting.

  • Bridging Ceremony

    4/24/2008

Our troop will be flying up to Juniors on Saturday, May 17th.  Invitations will be coming home on May 5th with time and location information included.  We hope that you will be able to join us as we move into the next chapter of Girl Scouts.

  • End of the Year Party

    4/24/2008 (updated 4/29/2008)

On Monday, May 12th, our troop will be having an end of the year party at Pump It Up.  Parents: Please return the Parent Permission Slip and Pump it Up by Monday, May 5th.  I am still missing permission slips for 2 of our girls (Aleya and Ariel)  If I don't have both permission slips, your daughter will be unable to attend this event.  Girls will only need to remember to bring socks to wear for the inflatables.  We will have pizza and cake after they get worn out jumping around! Parents are welcome to join us.

If you would like to plan to pick your daughter up from the party, please let me know! Otherwise, we will be returning to the school at around 5 pm
